Obituary & Memorial Data

We collect the information you provide when creating obituaries, including details about the deceased (name, dates, biographical information) and uploaded memorial photos. This data is provided voluntarily by funeral directors on behalf of families.

Guestbook Entries

Visitors to published memorial pages may submit condolence messages, which include their name and message content. Guestbook entries are subject to moderation by the funeral director.

Usage Data

We automatically collect basic usage data such as page views and feature interactions to improve our service.

4. AI-Generated Content

When you use our obituary generation feature, the biographical information you provide is sent to a third-party AI service (OpenRouter) to generate draft text. We do not use this data to train AI models. The AI only uses the facts you provide and does not invent or fabricate details.

5. Data About Deceased Individuals

We treat all information about deceased individuals with the utmost respect and sensitivity. This data is used solely for the purpose of creating obituaries and memorial pages, and is only accessible to the funeral director who created the record and visitors to published memorial pages.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use Supabase (with Row-Level Security) for database storage, Cloudflare R2 for photo storage, and Cloudflare Pages for hosting. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database
  • Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, photo storage, and bot protection
